Danny Innes

Danny went into care when he had just turned 14 years of age.

Danny is famous in York for his part in writing ‘How To Fly’ a rap song about real life care experiences. The film was part of a project called #Music4Care which won a National Kids Count award at the Houses of Parliament.

Danny chose to stay on in care until he was 18 and moved into his first independent flat aged 19 which he has called home for the last 4 years.

Danny is a skilled roofer and has had a full time job since February this year.
